Neighbors helping neighbors

Several busloads of people will be arriving over the next couple of days to various locations in Harris and Galveston Counties. Galveston Island expects a tremendous number of families and it has been reported that the school district will open its doors to more than 50 students left homeless by the storm and flooding.

Collection boxes will be set up in each of my four offices for distribution to local organizations assisting victims. Whether renewing a car tag or serving on a jury, please bring any spare items from home. Drop by..drop off... Bring water, clothing, canned and boxed foods, school supplies, spare PCs... Please, search your attics and your hearts.
