The
OfftheKuff blog prints an interesting email from Melissa Noriega describing the work and facilities at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston, which has been turned into a temporary shelter to help with the Katrina refugees.
Noriega is the wife of Texas State Rep Rick Noriega, a Texas Army Guard vet of Afghan and site commander at the center.
